2008 Olympic Opening Ceremonies

For anybody who didn’t catch the opening ceremonies you missed some top notch production and creativity. You can watch it via NBC here. Check out these photos from the Boston Globe’s website. The torch lighting was the icing on an amazing well done performance (watch it here). I think that this is definitely an example of where we as the church can study culture and learn as Perry talked about in today’s message. XBOX and Netflix soon to be friends

A partnership between Netflix and XBOX was announced today, so starting this fall you can view online streaming Netflix videos on your TV via your XBOX 360!

This in addition to using either Rivet or Connect360 look like great ways to use my XBOX 360 for more than just playing games.

Street views of the Tour de France

I love the fact that Google has done streetview maps of this year’s Tour de France. Not to mention the fact that they are putting the videos on YouTube. I remember back in the day hoping to catch a single day on ABC, it is amazing how “small” technology is making the world.
